Helping Your Baby Sleep - Step by Step

  • Book a quick call to discuss your little one’s sleep challenges and goals, talk through the process of working together, and ensure we’re the right fit for each other before moving forward.

  • After onboarding, you’ll receive a sleep log to fill out and a link to book your 1-hour consultation. Please send the log back at least 48 hours before our session so I can review it fully.

  • During our 1:1 session, we’ll review your little one’s sleep, talk through the changes you’d love to see, and create a personalised plan to guide you toward your goals.

  • After our consultation, you’ll receive a bespoke, easy-to-follow sleep plan tailored to your child’s temperament and your parenting style, covering routines, sleep environment, and settling techniques. The plan will be emailed within 72 hours.

  • Your 3-week support period starts once you receive your sleep plan. During this time, you can check in, ask questions, and get guidance as we track progress and make any adjustments needed to help your child succeed.

  • Sleep training means teaching your baby or toddler healthy, independent sleep habits. It’s not about leaving your child to cry -instead, it uses consistent methods to help them fall asleep (and back to sleep) without relying on rocking, feeding, or holding every time.

  • An infant sleep consultant identifies sleep challenges, creates a personalised plan to solve them, and supports you every step of the way. The right approach can take a family from sleep-deprived to rested and revitalised in just a few weeks.

  • I work with children from 5 months to 4 years old. By 5 months, most babies have more predictable sleep patterns, making it the perfect time to teach self-soothing and help them sleep for longer stretches.

  • My approach is responsive and flexible because every baby is different. I’ll work with you to find a method that fits your child’s temperament and your comfort level, whether you prefer a gradual approach or want faster results - so you can make changes without unnecessary stress for you or your baby.

  • This depends on your baby’s sleep issues and your goals. Most families notice improvements in a few days, with better sleep in 1–2 weeks, especially with a more gradual approach. Every baby is different; some catch on fast, others take more time. Either way, I’m here to support you the whole way.

  • It’s normal for babies to cry when their sleep routine changes, as they’re adjusting to something new. I don’t use “cry it out” methods - any tears are simply your baby expressing their feelings.
My approach focuses on supporting both you and your baby through this transition. I’ll guide you in ways that feel right for your family, helping your baby feel safe while making the process smoother for everyone.

  • No! You can keep breastfeeding while improving your baby’s sleep. We’ll create a plan that fits your goals.
Night time feeds may naturally reduce as your baby learns to self-soothe, but always at a pace that works for you both. My approach supports both your baby’s sleep and your breastfeeding journey.

  • While I can’t guarantee 100%, I’m confident that if you’re committed, consistent, and follow my programme with 1:1 support, you’ll see better sleep for your whole family.

  • Yes - when done appropriately, sleep training is safe for children. Research shows that responsive, age-appropriate methods do not harm a baby’s emotional well-being, attachment, or development.

Babies who rely on parental support to fall asleep are likely to need the same help when they wake during the night. By teaching independent sleep, babies learn to settle themselves at bedtime and return to sleep when they naturally rouse between cycles - all while feeling secure and supported. My approach ensures your baby is always cared for, comforted, and guided through the process in a way that suits their needs and your parenting style.
